This policy covers the TurboPercent Android app available on Google Play — not the turbopercent.com website, which has its own separate privacy policy. It explains exactly what the app collects, how advertising works, and your rights.
TurboPercent is a free, offline-first calculator app. There is no account, no sign-up, and no login — you can use every calculator without ever giving us your name, email address, or any personal information.
The app is free to use and supported by banner advertising, delivered through Google's AdMob service. This policy explains exactly what that involves.
TurboPercent itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or our servers — we don't operate any backend server that the app talks to.
The only data collection happens through the advertising SDK described in the Advertising section below, which operates independently of the app's own code.
To make the app more useful, a small amount of data is saved locally on your device only:
TurboPercent shows banner adverts through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to keep the app free. AdMob operates independently of our own code and collects data directly, on Google's behalf, to serve and measure ads:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising ID | A resettable device identifier used to measure ad performance and, where you've consented, personalise ads |
| IP address | Used to serve ads and determine your approximate country/region |
| App interactions | Ad impressions and clicks, used for measurement and fraud prevention |
| Device & diagnostic information | Device model, OS version, and similar technical data used to serve ads correctly and detect invalid traffic |
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us — we don't have access to it beyond aggregated, anonymised performance reports. It's transmitted securely (encrypted in transit).
Google's own use of this data is governed by their privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy ↗, and specifically for advertising: How Google uses information from partner sites and apps ↗.
If you're in the UK or European Economic Area, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before showing personalised ads, in line with the Google EU User Consent Policy and UK/EU data protection law.
TurboPercent is a general-audience calculator app and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app doesn't request or require any personal information to function.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll address it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) or CCPA (California), including the right to:
Because we don't hold any personal data ourselves (see above), most of these rights are exercised directly through Google's own tools, since AdMob is the only party collecting data in connection with this app:
Since TurboPercent has no account or server-side storage, there's no account to delete. To remove all data associated with the app:
On-device data (Favourites, History, preferences) stays within the app's own sandboxed storage, protected by your device's own operating system security — it's never transmitted anywhere. Any data collected by AdMob is transmitted using industry-standard encryption in transit.
We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. The only third party involved in the app's operation is:
We may update this policy if the app's data practices change — for example, if we add new features or services. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. We won't reduce your privacy rights without clearly noting the change here.
