Type or paste your numbers into the box — the calculator accepts any format: comma-separated, space-separated, one per line, or pasted directly from Excel or Google Sheets. Results update instantly as you type.
Mean — the sum of all values divided by the count. The most common definition of "average."
Median — the middle value when all numbers are sorted. Better than the mean when your data has extreme outliers (e.g. salaries in a company with one very high earner).
Mode — the most frequently occurring value. Useful for categorical data or when you need the most common result.
Range — the difference between the highest and lowest values. A simple measure of spread.
Can I paste data from Excel?
Yes — copy a column from Excel or Google Sheets and paste it directly into the box. The calculator handles tab-separated, comma-separated, and newline-separated values automatically.
What if there is no mode?
If every number appears exactly once, there is no mode. The calculator will show "No mode" in that case.
What is the difference between mean and average?
They are the same thing in everyday usage. "Mean" is the precise mathematical term; "average" is the common language term.
