Does this include the start date?
The difference is calculated from midnight to midnight. So 1 Jan to 3 Jan = 2 days (2 complete days elapse). If you want to include both the start and end day, add 1 to the result.
Does it account for leap years?
Yes — the calculation uses the actual calendar, so February 29 in leap years is counted correctly.
How are workdays counted?
Weekdays (Monday to Friday) only. Public holidays are not excluded — the figure assumes a standard 5-day working week.
